An Afrikaans engineer with a sense of humour and a passion for craft beer was looking for a hobby that could make him some money on the side. And so the Legends brand emerged out of curiosity and a passion for drinking beer.
As one of a small community of craft beer producers from Pretoria, South Africa, Legends presented a unique opportunity: to leverage the rich Afrikaans history in the area with examples such as the Voortrekker Monument to draw from for inspiration and honour beer heroes from a bygone era on every bottle of Legends Beer.
Of course the beauty of a legend lies in its definition as "a traditional story sometimes regarded as historical, but not authenticated". But that's a story for another day.
