This is my Event flyer design. For this poster, I decided to make the event a pool party!! I chose this event because the weather is getting warmer and everyone loves cooling to the pool. For the actual design of the poster I knew I wanted the background to be underwater-themed to make it look more cool to the viewer’s eye. I also wanted to incorporate various elements of things that pop into your mind when you think of summer. So I used coconuts instead of the actual O word for the O's in the word pool. I also added surfboards and floaties to the background to tie in the theme more. Another element I added was palm leaves, I believe this tied the whole poster together because it added a contrasting color to the blue. Overall this was my favorite flyer to make.
My inspirational quote flyer was the quickest flyer I finished. I already had a pretty basic idea of what I wanted to do, it was just a matter of executing it. I found a quote on Google that I liked, the quote read, “She believed she could, so she did”. This is a pretty basic quote but I liked the message that it had behind it, and I liked that it wasn’t overly long. I wanted to make certain words stand out, so I decided to add a ribbon to the background of the word to make it more visually appealing and to emphasize those words a bit. I also added flowers on all four corners of the poster, so it can tie everything together, and cater more towards the intended audience of the poster which are females. I decided to add flowers because it is something that most enjoy and they are visually appealing. And this is how this poster came together.
This flyer is the one I struggled with the most. That is because I didn’t know how I wanted it to look or say, so It was just a blank canvas in my head. After I was stuck on what to do for a while, I decided to make it as authentically me as I could. I knew that I wanted it to have a lot of colors because it is something that I enjoy. I also added a picture of myself because it is an artist spotlight. I decided to do a 90s theme because I enjoyed the fonts, the colors and how it made my poster looked. I added stars to make it look better, and for the font I did something i never did before. I had typed it what i wanted it to say in one color and then typed it again in a lighter color so it can give the letters a contrast. I loved how it turned out and I think it adds a very unique look.
