Nissaba | Fragrance from earth
Artistic & Niche perfumery

Nissaba is a perfume house with an authentic creative approach that consists of commissioning master perfumers to assemble the finest ingredients from the world's greatest perfume plant terroirs.

It's a completely different creative process from the traditional perfumery method, which begins with the identification of the local raw materials and then carefully compiles an inventory of the best natural extracts from these terroirs to compose the formulation of each perfume.

It's an innovation that confers upon each of the brand's fragrances the role of ambassador of these lands and terroirs, without omitting the role of the men and women who cultivate and harvest the rare raw materials used in their composition. 5% of sales to fund farmers to invest in sustainable agriculture of aromatic ingredients.

Nissaba is a pioneering CSR brand in the fragrance world, implementing a number of innovative practices to the sector, in terms of eco-design, circularity, formulation, and, above all, a direct involvement in the agricultural production of perfume plants. This unique creative approach has been recognised by a number of prestigious cosmetics industry awards since the brand was launched in 2023.

Convey a unique cultural heritage in a timeless logotype

Sumer is the oldest known civilization on Earth, the cradle of our modern world, where many inventions were made : agriculture, writing, code of laws, cities, medecine, astronomy…

Originally a grain goddess, Nissaba became the patroness of writing. She is one of the oldest Sumerian deities attested and remained a prominent goddess through many periods of Mesopotamian history.  The art of writing was known as a gift from Nissaba. Many clay-tablets honor her with the phrase “Nissaba be praised”.

The logotype aims to transmit this authentic cultural background in a subtle and simple way.
Circularity and essentiality are guiding principles for the design of the products. Every time it’s possible, Nissaba choose packaging elements that are recyclable, reusable, biobased, or from upcycled materials.

Packs are minimized in terms of quantity of raw material and weight to reduce the carbon footprint. This is especially critical for the glass bottle that requires high energy to produce.

Hence the radical choice of a bottle with an optimal weight versus capacity ratio. Paper and wood elements are FSC certified to guarantee they come from forests managed with strong environmental and social standards.
