I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the honor of collaborating with Hillary, my absolute favourite teacher. She is an incredibly talented writer and an outstanding poet, and working with her on a styling project was an unforgettable experience. One of the most memorable aspects of our collaboration was when she wrote a poem for me that perfectly captured the essence of the theme and added even more beauty to our work. Her guidance and support have had an immeasurable impact on my life. She was the first person to recognize my creative talent, and she encouraged me to pursue it with unwavering enthusiasm. I will forever be grateful for her belief in me and for all how she has helped me grow as an artist. Undoubtedly, our collaboration was one of the most significant experiences of my life. It was a time of intense creativity and exploration, and I learned so much from working with her. I will always cherish the memories we created together, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with such an inspiring and gifted teacher.
An Ode to Fearless Women
You create your own story, you write your rules,
You don’t need to be taught for you have your own schools.
You are a lioness and a tiger all rolled in one,
Your heart is benevolent, innocent and craves for some fun.
Your inconceivable strength and resilience is one of a kind,
Qualities that you are endowed with , in mankind is rare to find.
You can gnaw at dangers that besiege you,
And carve your name into swords or tame the shrew.
You throw your arms into the air and laugh without care,
When man tries to subdue you or trap you in a snare.
Man is petrified of you, for you can be an angle or a devil,
Depends on how you are treated you can be obliging or rebel.
You are synonymous to sacrifice and compassion, it is an undeniable fact,
But it doesn’t mean you would let anyone override or counter act.
The quintessential human being that you are,
Has always fascinated scholars and writers near and far.
Man cannot define you, for you are inexplicable,
Your wrath for foes indisputable and your love for loved ones indivisible.
You dazzle the world with your flawless beauty and strength
Displaying fearlessness and valor, you have turned history into herstory
