GIG POSTER
For this student project, we were to design an artist poster utilizing at least one photograph we have taken, and adding at least one text transformation. We used the software Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create the poster at the size 11" x 17" but I did not lay the elements to the edge beacuse the final image is 10" x 16" and has a 0.5" white border. To start this project it required brainstorming with thumbnails and a creative brief.
This is the creative brief. It states important information that is needed to keep in mind and help begin the design part of the project, it includes the event venue, artists and how to promote the concert. This is important to do before as it helps draw the spectators to the concert.
These are some thumbnails I made for this project. Layout was my main focus, especially for the title and photographs. The thumbnails helped me place them for a legible and effective poster.
This is my end product for this student project. This design was not part of my thumbnails, during the design process I decide to slightly change things as I was not happy with any of the thumbnails when they were actually a finished product. I added the the cowboy boots and American flag from pixabay as I wanted the poster to have that old American country vibe to it.
