Re-Design Final Craigslists

 Craigslist's Re-Design Mockup
Introduction:

Hello! Welcome to my Final Re-Design for the Craigslist's website.
My name is Joshua Valera and I will be talking about the process of my final design. For more specifics, I will also be talking about the research gathered from my individual user testing and team user testing.
The image below was made from Adobe Illustrator.
Context: During the process of my mockup I wanted to make a new home page for Craigslist. I stayed with the purple theme and removed any blue hover text. With their current design, the repetitive blue text makes their design look clustered. Not updated within current web design practices and trends.
Wire-Frame:

The image below was made from Figma. Before I started my homepage design on Adobe Illustrator, I worked on the website wireframe. I wanted to make the navigation more visible and easily accessible. At first I thought I would follow this example I made, but I noticed that the final results would look bland. Where it says 'Home', is where I noticed that the wireframe isn't something I should follow. In comparison with the current website of craigslist, I noticed that there are no images and any description for users to navigate through. Below the home title, I wanted to add visible indications that can help users understand where to go. Examples of indications: Images of sections, titles, and their descriptions.

 Research (Personas):

During our team research we created two personas:
The images below represented our ideal users for survey testing.

Goals:
Trying to find out if we should focus more on community or ‘for sale’.
- Figure out who our audience is
- Have they used Craigslist before?
- Likes and dislikes about the current website of Craigslist

 Research (User testing):

For our user testing we made a Pre-Test Questions / Screener Questions.

Our goal during our user testing was to gather data from our target audience. Data such as their thoughts on what improvements we should do for craigslist site.

We also provided three scenarios that helped us gather our user's data. These scenarios helped us get insight on their perspectives on what kind of improvements they want to see on craigslist, what were the frustrations, and their wishes for actions/features added into the website.

Final Design: (Second Page)

The pages would be similar to Offerup. While users are searching for anything craigslist related. We found out that their competitors are offerup, so something similar to their design will help craigslists reviews.
