Final Work on Mock up
Project Objective
The project aims to design a series of three Instagram posts that engage, educate, inform, inspire, or motivate viewers on a chosen issue or topic. Each post will consist of minimum 5 slides and must adhere to specific parameters outlined. These parameters include a focus on type-centric design, ensuring a clear design system while maintaining visual distinctiveness across posts. Notably, the first slide of each post should capture attention on a profile grid to encourage further engagement. The slides can combine images and text, with a requirement for each slide to contain textual content, including paragraphs of more than three sentences on at least two slides per post. Color palettes and typefaces must be unique to this project and should not resemble those used in previous class assignments. Furthermore, all slides must prioritize accessibility, ensuring sufficient color contrast for individuals with Protanopia and Deuteranopia color blindness. Additionally, body text size and leading must be suitable for reading on small screens. Lastly, information used must be from reliable sources, with proper citations included in the slideshow.
Working Progress
In this project, I've selected Renewable Energy as the focal topic. To enhance the visual appeal, I decided to incorporate a watercolor effect. Using Adobe Fresco, I've depicted various renewable energy sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, and hydroelectric systems. In terms of color scheme, I've opted for a combination of green and blue to convey a sense of freshness and environmental friendliness. This choice aims to evoke an organic vibe that aligns with the theme of sustainability. Following the illustration phase, I consolidated all my artworks using Photoshop, organizing them across multiple artboards to ensure coherence throughout the slides. For typography, I selected the Lato typeface for the body copy, prioritizing readability and modern aesthetics. Additionally, I chose the Above the Beyond Script font for the titles and subtitles, aiming to add a touch of elegance and personality to the overall design. This step contributes to the cohesive visual identity of the project while maintaining consistency across all elements.
Protanopia and Deuteranopia Color Blindness
Following feedback from both my professor and peers, I made adjustments to enhance the legibility and readability of my project. Specifically, I changed the title font to Watercolor, aligning it more closely with the thematic elements of the work. Additionally, I utilized the existing illustrations to create three additional posts, maintaining consistency across the series while expanding the scope of the project. These updates contribute to a more cohesive and refined final submission, addressing the concerns raised during the feedback process.
Advantage and Disadvantage of Wind Energy

Knowledge Gained
Through the process of working on this project, I've gained valuable insights and skills that have enriched my design approach. One of the key takeaways was the importance of soliciting feedback from both peers and instructors. Their input not only helped me identify areas for improvement but also provided valuable perspectives that I hadn't considered before. For instance, the suggestion to change the title font to Watercolor significantly enhanced the thematic coherence of the project while improving legibility. Additionally, the experience of creating three additional posts using existing illustrations expanded my understanding of maintaining consistency across a series while offering creative exploration within established parameters. Overall, this project reinforced the significance of iterative design processes, adaptability to feedback, and the value of thoughtful decision-making in achieving a cohesive and impactful visual narrative.
