This music video was created as part of an EP by music production student Lachlan Phipps.

I created this video to accompany the third song in the EP, Backstreets - a synth-driven, punk rock song centered around a desperate retreat from an overwhelming foe.
To this end, the video aimed to visualise the aftermath of a destructive battle, and evoke the tension and fear of being hunted down by faceless, dehumanised soldiers - hence the harsh shadows and overwhelming darkness.
Created in After Effects, it uses 2D elements assembled in 3D space, using camera movement, parallax scrolling and various effects to create a sense of danger and immersion.
