Whitetail Wood Co. is a small sole proprietorship business. I handmake all items at Berry College, using locally sourced wood from Summerville, GA.
Art Markets
I sell my items mainly in person at local art markets or craft shows. 98% of my sales are done at markets, which is why I cater mostly to providing enough items to sell at them.

Customer Experience
I made a Whitetail Wood Co. Instagram account where I posted pictures, videos, timelapses, and updates on projects and upcoming sale dates.
I also created business cards, complete with methods of contact and location. I had these displayed on my tables at every market I attended. I had 50 made, and I designed and ordered them from Vista Print.
Diversity
I used several species of wood such as ash, cherry, black walnut, sycamore, red cedar, koa, and more. The diverse selection gave customers a lot to choose from during markets. It also gave them a good idea on what types of wood they would like for custom orders.
Custom Items
I have made and sold several custom items this year. I love working directly with customers to discuss details of what they would like made, and how I can make it unique to them. I do not offer additional cost for custom items on top of the base price of what that item would cost.
Finances
To keep track of sales, expenses, revenues, and profits, I created a thorough excel sheet that documented every item and sale that was made this semester. This way I could keep an accurate track of my progress.
My total revenue was $1,228, my total expenses were $171.93, and my overall profit was $1,081.
