The cycle of events called Reload organized by the Subroot crew combines different music genres from the broadly defined UK sound. From dubstep through dub techno and garage, jungles, touching on tropical bass rhythms and meditative ambient.
My job was to prepare real-time environments in Touch Designer, with parameters for live control. During DJ sets, I was responsible for playing my visuals and adjusting them to the mood of the played tracks. The MIDI controller allowed me to have convenient control over every visual.
For this year’s edition of the event, I invited other graphic designers to collaborate. For each one of them,
I prepared a suitable moodboard with hints and inspirations, and then we started creating, consulting
on the further progress.
We were able to create a unique atmosphere and provide additional lighting through the LED installation designed and executed by Mateusz Król. Using TouchDesigner and MIDI controller, we could control
in real time each LED strip in the ceiling-mounted LED installation. This resulted in extraordinary lighting patterns and combinations, which, combined with visuals, created an amazing show.
Natalia Ślusarska and Zuzanna Gocławska were responsible for preparing magical themed, real-time visuals in TouchDesigner. During Isha and Maria's sets, they ensured extraordinary experiences.
