Reactive Desktop Neopixel Tower

Desk Neopixel Tower
The Desk Neopixel Tower is a interactive desk lamp that brightens up any space with fun neopixel patterns. This project was made to bring light and aesthetics to my ordinarily blank desk. The tower sits in the corner of the desk creating a non-distracting way to bring color to your workspace. It is Arduino based and possesses 6 different color patterns in the tower with an additional under glow pattern that runs all the time. Each color pattern changes with time. However, the last pattern is extra special. It is a sound reactive VU meter. Located under the tower is a microphone that detects sound waves and translates them into volume levels. These volume levels are then shown by the Neopixels in the Tower. The Tower is made from PVC, wood, and laser cut acrylic. The bottom 8 acrylic sheets are removable in order to access the service panel that swings open (see pictures).
