HEURISTICS BREAKDOWN & ANALYSIS

1. Visibility and System Status
When I log in to my account to make a payment, it shows the current plan I’m subscribed to and also shows other options available for upgrading.
2. Matching System & Real World
The quick menu draw has icons resembling real world elements and they have matched them with appropriate one-word description, like house icon for ‘Home’, an old tv icon for ‘TV’, etc.
3. User Control & Freedom
Although user control is limited, it has the option of undoing if you accidentally delete any movie/series you’re watching from watchlist
4. Consistency & Standard
There are no specific action buttons or quick toggles that are standard but the UI is consistent throughout.
5. Error Prevention
If you enter a wrong password it will notify you and suggest a few options to rectify it.
6. Recognition rather than Recall
Even if you didn’t know the description, one look at the icons and you can guess pretty much accurately what it stands for
7. Flexibility & Efficiency of use
Disney+ Hotstar is not very flexible in regards with full control but the provided options can be efficiently used to its maximum potential, like with deciding who is currently watching or edit profiles so that you get curated content for the select audience.
8. Aesthetic & Minimal Design
The overall UI is Aesthetic with dark background that is easy on the eyes, but there are too much content suggestions, rather than keeping it Minimal and segregate them into categories.
9. Help users Recognize, Diagnose & Recover from errors
While the options are limited in this platform, it does provide with some to correct any mistake the user does by mistake.
10. Help & Documentation
Disney+Hotstar has a lot of categories they provide help with. You can choose any specific category or you can call or chat with them.
