The stone-age celebrity Mrs. Granite.
This is my attempt to bring out the presence in a portrait style, since I have been living with it since the day I found it, but I have not yet noted its beauty or the presence in any imaginative style.
Digital sketches allow me to experiment with new techniques and styles without the fear of making permanent mistakes. They can easily adjust their work by erasing or changing colours with just a few clicks. This flexibility enables me to push the boundaries of this creative process.
Mrs. Granite's rugged features and stoic expression have always intrigued me, and I wanted to capture that essence in my artwork. By using digital tools, I was able to enhance her natural beauty and create a portrait that truly reflects her timeless elegance. The process of bringing out her presence in a new and imaginative style was both challenging and rewarding, as I discovered new ways to manipulate light and shadow to highlight her unique features. Mrs. Granite may be a stone-age celebrity, but through my art, I hope to show the world the beauty and grace that lie within her ancient form.
Here is a quick peek at my digital paintings from the current project. I had a great time painting my meandering ideas on capturing the beauty of granite, and I was able to make some lovely fragments using affinity photos and generative art prompts.
The colors and textures I used really brought Mrs. Granite to life, showcasing her strength and timelessness. I played around with different lighting techniques to create a sense of depth and dimension in the artwork. The contrast between light and shadow added a dynamic element to the piece, drawing the viewer's eye to the intricate details of her rugged surface. Overall, I am proud of how this project turned out, and I can't wait to share more of my digital paintings in the future.
