ECUAD Spring 2014

This semester's studio classes took me in a wild direction. On top of mostly academic courses, I learned two new computer programs and brought my love of dance to school!
Using Ableton Live, I compiled samples along with MIDI instruments to create my first ever audio track! In Pure Data, I synced my track with the GEM output window to add a visual component to the sound. To present to my class, I improv danced in a dark room with the projection cast upon me and my track playing.

Pure Data
Here is a screencap of most of my final patch to give you an idea of what my Pure Data "studio" looked like for the semester.

Leonard Paul aka Freaky DNA is an incredible teacher.
Thank you for such a cool learning experience!

Here is a snippet of some of the visualizations Pure Data's GEM window can output.

Ableton Live
Ableton is advanced and demanded much more of my time than I was expecting to get the sound juuuusst right. I'm not complaining though, using Ableton was so much fun!

Here is a recording of the presentation. Thank you for watching!

(Apologies for being so tired in the video! Finals were a crunch.)
