The aim behind the creation of the logo for Flooring Design Studio was to design a mark that is simple, yet unique, by combining a display sans-serif font with high contrast and subtle modifications. The main concept behind the logo design was to create a shape that emphasizes the importance of floors. The inspiration for the shape was drawn from the basic elements that make up a room, where the focus is on the floor. The shape was created by removing a part of a square to represent the floor in a 3D perspective. In further application, the shape is also used as a window to showcase the different types of floors offered by the company. The wordmark is incorporated into the symbol by extending its shape.
