For this brief, we were given the words: Random, Nightlife, Tedious, Soaring, and Coastal to try to visually communicate the meaning through the use of typography by looking at different font styles, colours and layouts.

For “random,” I used Illustrator 3D and materials tool to create the idea of Scrabble pieces strewn around.

For “nightlife,” I used the letters to create the silhouette of a city skyline.

For tedious, I made the letters lean or collapse on each other to create an effect of the word being exhausted.

For “soaring”, I used tools in illustrator to make the word look like it was flying.

For “coastal,” I used warp tools to create the effect of an ocean wave and manipulated the letters to create a liquid effect.
