UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION
以家鄉亞鉛店既有工藝技術、現有產品作為基礎，從新一代的角度思考、重新設計，以新語彙詮釋現代生活方式，且具有文化意涵及土地價值的產品。與傳統工藝對話，以地方創生、建立時代橋樑的目標作為初衷，進一步探究亞鉛新的面貌。
Based on the existing technology and existing products of the hometown store, I think and redesign from the perspective of the new generation, interpret the modern lifestyle with a new vocabulary, and have cultural connotations and land value. In dialogue with traditional crafts, with the goal of creating a place and building a bridge between the times, we will further explore the new face of Aen.
INSPIRATION / BACKGROUND
「亞鉛」是「鋅」的日文，把金屬管、金屬片利用鍍鋅或浸漬鋅等方式做表面處理，可防止生鏽，而亞鉛店即是利用鍍鋅片加工烙接成生活器具的行業。傳統產業逐漸走向入史冊。在材料「亞鉛」中，我看見它獨特的色彩魅力和材料的可塑性。透過實際的材料實驗，將這種傳統工藝以一種新的方式帶回我們的日常生活。
"Aen" is the Japanese word for "Zinc", and metal pipes and metal sheets are treated with galvanized or impregnated zinc to prevent rust, and shops are industries that use galvanized sheets to process and solder household utensils.The traditional industry is gradually going down in history. In the material ''Aen" , I saw its unique color charm and material plasticity. Through actual material experiments, bring this traditional craft back to our daily life in a new way.
RESEARCH ABSTRACT / PROTOTYPING
我的研究是家鄉傳統產業的材料實驗與設計語彙的轉化。透過對現有產品的分析，首先對現有產品進行總結和整理，材料的使用透過基本四種幾何形狀進行建構和變形。接著，思考如何應用在產品的結構和型態上。透過紙張、鍍鋅鋼板、鋁板等相似且容易取得的材料進行建模和材料厚度、硬度的測試實驗。
My research is the material experimentation and design vocabulary transformation of the traditional industry in my hometown. Through the analysis of existing products, the existing products are first summarized and organized, and the use of materials is transformed and deformed by the basic four geometric shapes. Then, thinking about how to apply the structure and typing of the product. Experiments on modeling and testing of material thickness and hardness are carried out through similar and easily available materials such as paper, galvanized steel, and aluminum sheets.

CREATIVE / RESEARCH CHALLENGE
從歷史上看，傳統工藝逐漸被機械技術的演變和塑膠製品的產量所取代，其繼續發展的必要性下降，導致夕陽產業的衰落。身為家族產業的一員，我希望以新一代設計師的視角挑戰這種可能性，甚至是地方創生。在製作作品前，首先要了解所有的製作流程、加工方式、製作方法、行業現狀等，與師傅溝通，與作品在加工的難度和類型上進行權衡。例如，在這個照明系列中，吊燈是店內懸掛大大小小的淋浴的形象，而立燈則以桶為原型，在舊的加工方法上構建新的結構和彎曲方法。褶皺代表時間的流動，展現感性的面貌，每一條褶皺都能展現不同色階的光影變化。
From a historical point of view, traditional crafts have gradually been replaced by the evolution of mechanical technology and the output of plastic products, and the necessity of their continued development has declined, leading to the decline of the sunset industry. As a member of the family industry, I hope to challenge this possibility and even local creation from the perspective of a new generation of designers. Before making a work, you must first understand all the production processes, processing methods, production methods, industry status, etc., communicate with the master, and make trade-offs in the difficulty and type of processing with the work. For example, in this lighting series, the chandelier is the image of hanging large and small showers in the store, while the standing lamp is based on the barrel as the prototype, and the new structure and bending method are constructed on the old processing method. The folds represent the flow of time and show the sensual appearance, and each fold can show the change of light and shadow in different color scales.
