Visualized Joinery x 3D modeling
「可視化榫接椅凳」將Chidori傳統榫接技法應用於椅腳的主要結構,並結合3D建模來豐富整體造型。作品以透明材質展現榫接工藝,重新詮釋榫接的美學。Tran-Joint透過新型態的榫接家具,讓大眾能夠更輕易的體驗榫接傳統工藝。

Traditional joinery is intricate and often hidden, igniting a desire for visualization. Tran-Joint Stool applies traditional joinery techniques to the main structure of its legs, integrating 3D modeling to enhance its overall design. Transparent materials are utilized to showcase the craftsmanship and reinterpret the aesthetics of joinery. Through this new form of joinery furniture, it enables the public to easily engage with the art of joinery.
設計概念
Design Concept
榫接為傳統木工的接合技法,過程中不會使用到螺絲等,透過榫卯形成穩固結構。這樣的結構精確且複雜,卻也不易被看到,因此想將其可視化。使用者在組裝時能夠看見內部的榫接過程,組裝後也能欣賞組件間的相互連結。

有別於一般榫卯扣合形成的二維平面,Chidori三向榫卯扣合後將會形成穩固的三軸向之立體結構。而此設計將以Chidori榫卯將三支椅腳穩固地相互榫合。

Joinery is a time-honored woodworking technique that eschews the use of screws, relying instead on interlocking components to create robust structures. The intricate structure and fine craftsmanship of traditional woodworking joinery are often hidden from view. My goal is to highlight this craftsmanship by employing transparent materials that showcase the joinery structure.

Usage Process
部件搭配 Pairing /
使用者能夠依照喜好去搭配不同材質顏色的椅腳與椅面。 
Users can mix and match chair legs and seats with different materials and colors according to their preferences.
椅凳組裝 Stool Assembling /
三支椅腳透過相互榫接組裝成型,並與椅面扣合。 
The three chair legs are assembled by interlocking with each other, and they are fastened to the seat.
