When I showed this artwork to my brother he said it reminded him of a man o' war. The man o' war is a highly venomous sea creature that originated from Portuguese, resembling a jellyfish but is actually a type of sinonophore.  What intrigued me the most about these creatures is that each of them are made up of several small individual organisms creating a colony, each of them having their own job to keep them all alive.  They would not be able to survive alone and I think this associates deeply with the universe as a collective, each little particle and factor in the universe has a part in helping one another.  I feel that Man o' wars being extremely poisonous references us as well, misunderstandings and hate that people have inflicted has created many of us to be defensive in toxic ways, some believe that if one sees a man o' war, it predicts they will have a falling out with close ones.
