My idea of inspiration comes from Ritu Kumar, a well-known Indian fashion designer who used to incorporate contemporary vocabulary into the country's rich, ancient traditions. Ritu Kumar's designs are known for their intricate embroidery and rich Indian aesthetic. The Mughal monuments, which display their geometric designs, historical significance, royal ness, power, Majestic, and boldness, served as inspiration
As historical monuments served as my inspiration, I tried to use the weaving process to create some 3D style structures and patterns. I've only used copper wire and three different colors of polyester thread here. By creating a 3D look, aid in the fabric's capacity to bend.
I experimented with different weave techniques to get some unique patterns on the surface of the fabric by simply changing the lifting order
This is the sample that was made using a frame loom and my chosen source of inspiration. Frame looms are tiny, portable looms made of wood that resemble picture frames and were initially created to weave dense, rug-like weavings in the style of tapestries
