For my work of “Not So Baby Shark” I created an intaglio print on a 6x8” zinc plate. I mixed black and red ink to create a rosy black and printed my piece with the technique of Chine Colle with a thinner paper on toned rives bfk. This print was created in response to a personal event and the aftermath of it. The subject of the print is a skeleton of a shark jaw that’s open with a ribbon and hibiscus, orchids, and plumeria flowers. The ribbon, flowers, and the shark jaw are a personification of the event.

This work was featured in the Ball State University's School of Art 89th Annual Juried Student Art Show.
