Design a geometric lamp made from paper - Jenna Caffrey
Design Process
I began by layering transparent paper to see if it was a good medium to work with. Through that I thought the layering of the paper affected the light in a really nice way. I tried out some other shapes and forms, noting what worked structurally and aesthetically, eventually landing on a tubular design.
I tried out a cascading cylindrical design which I was sure would be my final one, but I decided to look back into it and try to find small flaws/design errors I could improve. This led me to making a mini model of my final design from regular paper, which I then scaled up and made with the tracing paper. I photographed my lamp for the showcase and then edited the raw photos to finish off the process.
