Creative Crafting Ceramics Cafe Identity

Creative Crafting is a ceramics café located in London. On one hand they provide a café service, just selling a range of hot and cold drinks, biscuits & cakes. But the main drive of the business is creativity. They claim that “everyone can be an artist” in their studio. Customers of all ages choose from a range of prefired bisque ceramics and paint them to create a unique and personal piece of pottery art. The staff completes the process of firing and glazing and customers’ items are ready to collect a week later.
I tried to keep the design of my brand simple, I want the customers artwork to do the talking, which is why I used a black and white colour palette. The identity consists of stamps and stickers - a low cost way for a small cafe to get their brand out there. This DIY nature gets the staff hands on and reflects the handmade pottery process. The tone of voice is very friendly and personal.
In keeping with the crafty DIY feel of the brand, chalkboards will be used to advertise any promotions. The same style of lettering will be consistently used throughout the shop.
Tote Bags: Screen printed branded tote bags on sale. Not only good for the environment, but also a nice bit of advertising.
Staff Uniform: Plain black cotton t-shirts screen printed with white ink. Comfortable to wear and low cost to produce, so if staff get covered in paint (they will!) the uniform can easily be washed and no need to iron.
