Following the letter written to her daughter, this book is composed of letters to her son. During his military service, it compiles the sincere feelings of a mother that have accumulated over time and were not previously expressed.
A mother's love for her children remains unchanged, akin to the spring that returns each year after winter. Similarly, an old tree that steadfastly stands in one place throughout the four seasons symbolizes a mother who, without expression, silently lives for her children. The steadfastness and unchanging nature of the old tree's roots, along with the mother's wrinkles, possess a visual connectivity, making them suitable representations of a mother's love.
