Liminal Beast of Prey is an ever-evolving queer wrestling performance collective consisting of a fluid team of multidisciplinary artists. Using storytelling, choreography and combat tricks, they create an idiosyncratic high-energy show giving the space for narratives that are often unseen, celebrating queer identities and expressing post-capitalist desires. The first show: Turbocrazy Hannover Combat, Initiated by choreographer and dancer Anna Posch, took place at Ihmezentrum during #youpromisedmeacity conference about city development. Currently led by Emilia Kurylowicz, Julian Wirag, Asya Ashman and Emma Adler,the second iteration of the show took place under the title Core of Genesis on the 8th of June 2023 within the series Kunst im Untergrund - Neue Urbane Öffentlichkeiten organized by ngbk Gallery. Happening in the middle ‘bermuda triangle” between the Rotes Rathaus, Neptunbrunnen and Marx-Engels Forum (but also at the gates of TK Maxx and Decathlon and in the specter/shadow of Fernsehturm), the Liminal Beast is slipping into the cracks of bizarre urban reality of Alexanderplatz surroundings. The audience will have a chance to witness a feast of ambiguity, between rage and love, competition and solidarity, mysticism and construction sites, pleasure and pain. Core of Genesis will reveal old and new wrestling personas played by: Asya Ashman, Emma Adler, Nobutaka Shomura, FRZNTE, Janne Kummer, Emilia Kurylowicz, Mateo Argerich, Oskar Pawełko, Dan Su and Julian Wyrag, as well as some surprise guests.
