Immerse yourself in a photographic series that explores the fascinating theme of "On the Margins of Society" in a very special way. In this series, contrasts become a powerful tool to illuminate the different facets of this complex subject.
With a deft eye for contrasts, two unique approaches are combined to tell the stories of those people who are often overlooked. The first approach focuses on the raw reality in which the invisible live. Here, black and white shots are used to emphasise the clarity and simplicity of life's circumstances. The beauty of simplicity is emphasised through strong contrasts - light and shadow, decay and hope.
The second approach explores the individuality and spirit that shines despite the challenges. Colourful images are used to capture the diversity of personalities and the richness of emotions. Contrasts emerge here between the vivid nuances of emotion and the often grey surroundings.

This series of photographs is a journey through the nuances of existence on the margins of society. The contrasts serve as a guide to convey the stories and strength of people who are normally in the shadows. By combining black and white and colour, reality and individuality, this series creates an immersive visual experience that invites us to reflect on our perceptions of society and humanity.
Disclaimer:
This study was written in 2017 when many socially critical topics unfortunately received no - or far too little - public relevance. Certainly today, you can be more scattered about the handling of some topics...
