EXHIBITION DESIGN- SOCK SNATCHERS' HIDEAWAY
In this project, we had to create an exhibition about a specific object we had chosen. I chose socks as my object. I decided to make an exhibition for children. My main concept was a question we all have asked: "WHERE do all the socks go!?".The way I decided to design it was by creating a sock thieves' hideout inside a washing machine. Whenever we lose our socks it's generally when they come out of the washing machine when we realise they're GONE. When you enter the exhibition there is an introduction to the exhibition on the left and then you go ahead and see all the sock snatchers. We also see the Golden socks placed right in between cause what would you expect in a hideout full of thieves? After the sock thieves introduction, there is a wall that lists fun ways in which you can stop your socks from getting lost with a surveillance camera tab where you can interact and see different footage. The exhibition ends with a game where if you find the lost socks that are displayed on the screen within the time limit, you can take them home!
