Ways of Seeing Assignment - February 12, 2024
The Five "W's"
I shot these photos over the duration of the weekend, with the beach photos at Tory Pines being taken on Saturday during sunset hour and the photos at 7-Eleven being taken Sunday night. The Saturday photos were taken with my two best friends as my center subjects, while the Sunday photos were taken with Cade. I gave my best shot at trying to take the Ways of Seeing photos without ever particularly having photography experience, as I've only ever shot videography with documentary and film experience, and it was quite different taking photos on a photo camera. The main issue I had was over-exposure, which one of my friends taught me how to fix on the specific camera I was using for the future. It made editing the beach photos slightly more time consuming as I had to re-add the color contrast and bring life back to the vibrant sunset background.
