Passion for Fashion
The main theme of our semiotic card assignment is Fashion DIY which became popularized during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, there was a lockdown that forced everyone to have no choice but to stay home, leaving us with a lot of spare time where we could use for leisure activities. Therefore, the Do-It-Yourself trend influenced many creative people to put their skills to use in making fashion related items that could be worn and accessorized on a daily basis. The creative direction of our group was to find various different types of Fashion DIY, and relating these activities to the words that were given to us. We took a minimalistic stylistic approach as this course concentrates on simplifying our design as much as possible.
