I created this table as my final for materials and technology 1. Over the course of this class I learned how to properly and carefully utilize the tools found in our woodworking shop. Inspired by organic, soft lines, mixed with harsh and abrupt edges I worked to create a piece that had an even balance and a weightless feel.

I utilized the workshop to the fullest. Starting with the jointer and planner, moving to the surface sander to achieve level and workable material. I began to use the table saw to achieve my desired cuts. 

Finally, I sanded it to a finish that was satisfying to the touch and reflected my work and attention to detail.
