A variable data printed calendar using InDesign and XMPie (http://www.xmpie.com/) to
create customized and personalized calendars was the solution that fit.

The theme was travel and inspiration to uplift the reader as they went through their personalized calendar. Each month featured a different destination and inspirational quote all of which were selected by the client.
To create this calendar we needed to work closely with our Toronto based marketing department to fulfill the programing and data merge requirements and leverage their capabilities to produce the final product.
The end results were outstanding and well received by the client and the recipients of

In order to produce a data merge all the cells needed to be identitied and corolate to the existing excel file data. Before running the merge it is important that all the data be reviewed and cleaned to ensure there were no duplicates, or errors. Within InDesign the fields selected for data merge are created following the template above. For example for in the case of a persons name would would see <Name> in various locations within the layout marking the placeholder where the data would merge in.
