As a visual artist, I am passionate about interaction, collaboration and the creative process. In effort to understand and connect with Parisian creators, over the last 3 months, I have documented the Montmartre area with a focus on artistic personnages and creative spaces. Within the series, I attempted to create a visual atmosphere of surreality, allowing my presence to interact with the scene and subject matter. This series is of both cultural and personal importance as it gives close insight on how artistic practices have developed and evolved in Montmartre from its origins and prominence in the belle epoque to the contemporary world, while simultaneously acting as a catalyst for myself to collaborate, form connections, and learn with other artists.
