Following the style characteristics of Norwegian clothing in the mid-19th century and the character traits of the play's personas, I designed costumes that include the following classic characters: the elderly mother of Peer Gynt, the gentle and kind Solvag, the audacious Peer Gynt, the mysterious man in black, and Rübezahl with frayed clothing and trash, representing his wealth.
