TYPOGRAPHIC INSECT POSTER
For this poster, we had to create a poster consisting of only type. Our theme was living things found within the Amazon Rainforest. From there, I created my insect out of different typographic elements and added some information about the species. I don't often explore monochromatic design pieces, so I thought it would be a fun challenge to try for this poster.
ISOTYPE DESIGN HISTORY POSTER
For this project, I was assigned a random graphic design movement to develop a poster for. Before this project, I had never heard of the Isotype movement, so it proved to be a bit challenging. I was nervous going into this project as it was somewhat out of my comfort zone, but I feel as if this project gave me a greater appreciation for minimalistic design pieces.
GDII SOCIAL CLUB POSTERS
For one of my graphic design classes, I was involved in a semester-long group project that involved my group members and I to create a social club. For our social club, we had to create a minimum of 4 different events to invite our classmates (and anyone on campus) to go to. One of the things we had to create to promote our events were posters. One of the requirements for the posters were that they had to be printed on a RISO printer. I hadn't used a RISO printer prior to this project, but I thoroughly enjoyed it after learning how! Each of the members of the group designed at least one poster for our events. The one I created was for our Daebak event. Daebak is a Korean BBQ in Southfield, Michigan. For my design, I created an abstract pattern out chopsticks.
