For our Metals II final assignment, we could tackle anything we wanted as long as we put to use all of the skills we had gained throughout the course.
I decided to fabricate a 1:3 scale model of a longboard.
Precision Trucks: Aluminum
Deck: bent lamination, walnut veneer
Wheels: Nylon
Hardware: Hex nuts, threaded rod, screws

Final model
Base plates and hangers were sandblasted and assembled. Nylon wheels were attached
to trucks. Deck was cut and shaped after being pressed. Holes were later
drilled and countersunk to attach all components together.
