I had an opportunity to collaborate with a Vietnamese wine manufacturer, who was to introduce their whiskey goods to the Japanese market. As the lead designer, my contributions was the label designs for their whiskey, gin products, and also the product brochure/catalogue to showcase them to clients. I did a lot of study on Japanese design sensibility and cultural elements as well as the Japanese consumer behaviors. In order to create the distinctive visual language for the brand, I used a fusion approach, combining traditional Vietnamese features with
Japanese minimalism.
