With the images from my uncle Friedemann Pistorius, a large and medium format film photographer, I designed the book »Nordwind – Bilder aus Norwegen«. It’s a subjective, catalogue-like stock taking of this beautiful country in Northern Europe.

Main focus of the concept was to make the layout and the overall design as invisible as possible, being just a stage for the photographs, and to give the book a precious and timeless look and feel. Therefore I replaced the usual page numbers by the images serial numbers, for example.
