These are a set of artist books which I had to concept and execute for a RISD design course. The title of the series is 'The Four Corners of My World'. Each book is an abstract representation of a place which is prevalent in my life. Through the use of color, paper cutouts and reflective paper I try and create a glimpse into that 'world'. The places, though significant to me are represented in a visual way rather then a narrative one. The reason for this being that I want the viewer to be able to use the 'tunnel' viewing window as almost a gateway for them to be transported into the created environment. The reason behind my choice of the tunnel book is to eliminate external distractions in order to be present within that place.
