Ride Around Taiwan - Day 4 - Chiayi to Kaohsiung

Day 4 - Soon after we leave Chiayi, we are going to pass Tropic of Cancer (23°26′10.2″ north of the Equator). What is Tropic of Cancer? Read Wikipedia then you can get the idea. There is a gate (a big, red gate) on the road which we passed today but I could not take a picture since I was in the middle of the ride. In simpler terms, we are coming to the south of Taiwan. Trees and flowers are different with more colors and green shines with brighter sunlight.
However, today is December 25th. We celebrated Christmas but in a unique way. Our support people put red Christmas hats on top of their helmets, one rider in our group rode with Santa Claus. There is no Christmas dinner or lunch, but colorful flowers and those unique approaches are enough for us to feel it is Christmas.
While I was riding today, I felt like I have been riding slight downhill for 120 km. When I checked my activity on Strava today when I finished, it actually was. There are some ups when we have bridges, but overall it is downhill for 120 km and cool north wind pushed us more. It was a long ride, but I felt that was a smooth ride like riding on red carpet for 120 km.
Our ride was finished after sunset. We turned on the light at the last stop and had a cool down at the park with city lights. Kaohsiung has a big industrial area which I was able to notice when we reached the city. I was able to find a unique landscape with towers, water pumps, mixed with tropical trees. And it is a big city. After dinner, I went to the park which is located one mile away from the hotel. It is Monday evening and quiet, new station and old station, funny objects and paints. I need to visit here again.
