Show Your Scars - Death is part of the Journey of Dying

Show your Scars - Death is just part of the Journey of Dying
Designed for individuals who have overcome self-harm, Show Your Scars aims to create open conversations about the topic of suicide. Scars are emphasised using semi-permanent tattoos, which gives the indication of approachability to the topic.
Suicide.
My interest in the subject of suicide arose due to its rarity in open discussions within Singapore. Typically, when someone is contemplating suicide, the societal tendency is to sidestep the topic or demonstrate only superficial curiosity.
I opted to conduct interviews with three primary groups related to this subject: children of divorce, siblings, and individuals who have previously experienced suicidal thoughts or actions. After my interviews, a coincidental observation I had was that all of my previously suicidal interviewees had attempted self-harm, specifically, the act of cutting themselves.
Users are able to choose their floral tattoo, based on the its symbolistic meaning as well as according to the sizes or appearance of their scar.
