Project: Mini Cereal Box Design

Brief: Create two mini cereal boxes with a specific theme

I chose to create cereals based on my two favorite cryptids: the will o' the wisp and the jackalope. Besides the theme, I also tied the two box designs in by using the same cereal bowl, the same light blue, and a similar layout for the information. Both mascots also have their tongues sticking out in the box!

For the Will O' the Wisps cereal, I stuck to a blue theme with a wispy font. During my research, I found Will O' the Wisps to be represented as a glowing blue orb. I chose a teardrop shape to create the feeling of a flick of light or small flame.

To create a fun kid's cereal vice, I included three fun facts on the back of each box.

The name for this cereal is a play on the word jackalope, although I didn't make the cereal actual loops. As these creatures are reportedly seen in the dessert, I chose an orange and brown color palette. I included the blue bowl feature on the first box because it ties the two together visually and offers a pop of contrasting color.
