Kinsfolk is an event campaign that highlights local traditional Malay instrumentals, and modernise it to become more appealing to Youths by incorporating modern elements into the design & music.
Ideation
— what is happening?
To best highlight the beauty and strengths of traditional Malay music, Kinsfolk will be a monthly nightly event where the main focus is the group and their performance. As a unique twist, the music that will be performed is a fusion and incorporation of traditional instrumentals into known pop songs; creating a fresh sound and atmosphere for all to enjoy.
For the event to truly pop and stand out, the art direction taken has to include a fusion of modern and traditional art styles as well to make the event seem more cohesive.
