Scary Scripts Typeface

For my Intro to Typography class, we were tasked with making our own typeface for our final project. When I heard that this was going to be our final project, I really wanted to do a fun typeface instead of a normal looking one.
MOODBOARD
There were many different ideas to get inspiration from. I really like the roundness of some of them and how they incorporated other objects along side what was the main idea of their typeface. I also liked the different variations of poses for each one as well, especially for ones that are just one thing like the dragon and the skull.
SKETCHES
I had a few ideas. Some of the ideas that I had were dragons, bamboo, ghosts, and pasta. When I showed these to my professor, she really liked the ghosts idea, and I decided to do that one, because with the time that I had I realized that it would be the one that I could finish the cleanest.

FINAL PRODUCT
This is the final product of my Typeface. I really liked how it turned out. I liked how I made it more round and that I didn't do any like pointy edges in it, because I feel like that gives more of an organic look. I don't think it would've looked as good if it had pointy edges because I don't think ghosts would have pointy edges.
