HeartBurst was my final panting created for my painting 1 class in my sophomore year. Its purpose was to represent the violent release of repressed emotions that one learns to bottle up to an unhealthy degree. With the heart the symbolical representation of emotions bursting out of this stand-in for myself as a tiger forcing itself forward unable to be contained, despite one's effort to content them inside. This was a great learning process for recreation textures like flesh and yarn and working on a fairly sized canvas
