Project Brief
Tasked to conceptualise, research and write an article for any magazine, this project culminates in a holistic designed product by means of a typographical cover and double-page spread. Highlighting themes of typography and layout, this editorial design project is powerful in concept and craft foregrounding a frameable, memorable issue that will live on in the archives.

Design Strategy
In a world that is constantly accelerating, seeking solace in all things cute is not something to be ashamed of.

Scientifically, cute things have a profound psychological impact, evoking feelings of love and a strong desire to protect. There’s nothing wrong with preferring the comfort of your own space over the relentless pursuit of a faster pace. This concept is further explored through the copywriting within this editorial.

The cover page of this editorial amplifies this notion with the playful use of the word “kyute” in a fluffy 3D rendering, adorned with doodles, and stars. The vice logo is reworked for this edition with a sleeping character and it's plushie.
Redo
The redo consists of changes to the kyute 3D render to have more contrast and naturalistic 3-dimensionality. The letterform has a softer texture. The 2nd page of the double page spread has also been adjusted to have more balance. The copywriting of the article has also been edited with narrative as a focus. The cover page mockup has also been changed to suit the project better.
