ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 4 ✹ ANALYSIS AND CONCEPT OF THE PROJECT
CALM-Border explores various water principles and the translation into an architectural experience. CALM-Border aims to emphasize the contrasting tranquil and aggressive shores along the Göksu River boundary and evoke feelings of healing, freedom, and serenity using architecture for this experience.By creating both public and private spaces, it will be designed to provide a harmonious and social interaction with its surroundings, This will be achieved by bringing together the pleasurable effects of the various states of water on the human spirit in common points for its visitors. The relationship with water will intentionally be resolved at an unstable equilibrium. This will also refer to the "Borderline" concept and the instability of remaining on the border.
Calm-Border project is designed as a space where the energy of water is transferred in every possible way, with the central focus on utilizing water in various forms. Inspired by the amorphous movements of water, a dance choreography has been created to be performed on a stage representing the border. In this way, the stage serves as a boundary, with the visible part of the floor representing the area where the kinetic energy of water transforms, while the lower part portrays therapeutic and serene environments associated with water.
This concept brings together both artistic and scientific perspectives, offering the audience an impressive visual and sensory experience of the energy and therapeutic effects of water.
