Day of the Dead "Día de Muertos"
In the begging of November, Mexico celebrates the Day of the Dead. This holiday is a cultural heritage celebration of life and death. Mexican homes welcome their deceased loved ones each year with calendula flowers, papel picado, copal fragrance and traditional food such as mole, fruit and bread. In families, the altar is a symbol of strengthening the intergenerational bond.
