Revival Garms is a small business that sells curated vintage clothing. I was hired to design brand's logo, create Instagram posts, pop-up event posters and edit Instagram reels/Tiktoks.
Previously named "Kindervtg", the owner felt that there was a need for a rebrand to bet suit the grunge style of clothing sold. My role in the rebranding was to create a logo for the new name "Revival Garms", one that was still mature and edgy but playful looking. Above are drafts for the logo I created where I played with different fonts and styles.
The final logo in black (vector) and chrome (raster) version. The chrome version was created with Photoshop as requested by the store owner.
Usage of logo on gift card, loading screen, favicon and profile picture.
Instagram posts designed for @revivalgarms. As the only guideline I was given by the store owner for these posts was for them to look "cool" and include the information required, I have the freedom of trying out different graphic styles depending on the event.
While editing, I made sure to use trendy music and hashtags at the time to increase
the chance of these videos appearing on people's Tiktok For You and Instagram
Explore pages. I learned that hashtags are really effective in reaching out to the interest of a specific target audience especially with something more niche like vintage clothing.
Overall, I have enjoyed my experience of working for Revival Garms as it has allowed me to try out new things like designing a favicon, writing captions and editing videos. Additionally, as the brand does not have a strong branding, it has forced me to be more creative as I have to start from scratch for my designs with no brand guidelines. Seeing
