As we embark on the journey of presenting this book, “Redevelopment of Parvathy Puthanar and Urban Coalesce – A Case of Akkulam, Vallakadavu, and Edayar,” we are filled with immense pride and enthusiasm. This publication represents the culmination of an intensive and transformative semester of architectural study, a culmination of our eighth semester’s dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment to the field of urban design.
Our journey through this studio was not just about architectural design; it was about understanding the soul of the city and its people. We embarked on this endeavour with the belief that urban spaces should not only be functional but also reflective of the cultural, social, and environmental values that define a community. Through extensive research, site analysis, and design experimentation, we have strived to create urban interventions that resonate with the essence of Parvathy Puthanar and its surroundings.
