For the brief Design Impact we were tasked with creating an experimental publication based on the poem Parables by Kae Tempest. I focused on the lines which discussed consumerism as a beast, and the gore and body horror metaphors used throughout. I created a mixed media project using unconventional materials such as rubbish, tights, wool and plastic to demonstrate how the waste that comes from consumerism is like a disease. For some of my pages, I collaged digitally using scans of objects and created risoprints from them.
